Background Info: “The ”Dragoon Ride,” a 13-day long convoy that stretched across Eastern Europe, was comprised of more than 600 soldiers and 120 military vehicles. The convoy official ended at Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany on April 1, 2015, with a parade through the base.” Stars and Stripes Europe.
In recognition of 3rd Squadron’s historic 1170 mile road march your 2d Cavalry Association in cooperation with the Wolfpack leadership recognized this great achievement by striking a unique limited edition memorial medallion that memorializes “The Dragoon Ride”. This medallion (shown above) was presented to approximately 600 “Dragoon Ride”participants as our unique way of recognizing their contribution. I assure you they will each appreciate this unique coin and their achievement more as the years pass.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of the medallions will be used to offset our cost and the mailing cost for your purchases. If we exceed our costs it will benefit all Dragoons.
