My fellow Dragoons:
As to burial service of Col. Rod Coffey (Wolfpack 6) at Arlington national Cemetery, I call your attention to the following information:
18 March 2019, 0900 hrs. Friends and Family members should arrive no later than 30 to 45 minutes prior to the start of the service. The assembly location will be the Administration Building (the area is well covered with signage, if asked by a guard, tell them you are attending a funeral.)
Dragoons able to attend, are encouraged to do so in order to honor service to our Nation, our Army, and our Regiment by Col. Rod Coffey.
Col. Coffey is entitled to full honors including United States Army Band, Escort, Caparison horse, Caisson, Body Bearer Team, Bugler and Firing Party. Also, in attendance will be the Virginia Chapter of the Patriot Riders.
There will be a representative of ANC and an Arlington Lady to explain the sequence of events to the Family and friends.
Notes:
Washington is likely to be cold and or rainy, plan accordingly.
The ceremony includes optional walking, and mandatory standing.
At the time of day that the ceremony takes place, Washington and Northern Virginia are heavily congested, plan for ample travel delays.
