Fellow Dragoons –
I don’t usually insert my views in the TBred, But I am writing to ask you to join us in Kansas City later this month.
I have watched this Association do things that have continued to make me proud of our Regiment and our Army.
I have seen us honor our fallen in combat while visiting Vilseck, I have participated in discussions, and am financially supporting the construction of a memorial to all troopers who have sacrificed their lives in the service of our Regiment, whether it was in combat, training, or in garrison.
I’ve seen us honor troopers who have gone to Fiddler’s Green more than a century ago, were missing and found from the Second World War, and those who have left us lately.
I’ve also seen us celebrate the skills of our active troopers in gunnery, soldier skills, Ranger School and on deployment.
Lastly, I’ve seen that because we have been on the frontier, almost since our formation, that our Distinctive Unit Insignia isn’t as well known as it deserves. We need Dragoons everywhere to show the flag, It is time to hear CPT May and Remember OUR Regiment!
