October, 2019
Fellow Dragoons:
It’s not my intent to bombard you with email, but there is likely to be a couple of supplemental notices prior to December’s TBred. Please indulge me, the Association is becoming increasingly busy.
In chronological order –
My organization, Topfield Equestrian Center, still has openings for 2d Cav Troopers and Alumni to participate in a three-day Hudson Valley Remount session in Cold Spring, NY on 9-11 October. This unmounted equine program is not therapy and focuses on connection, reconnection and finding a sense of presence. In Cavalry parlance – it’ll make you feel better.

The Dragoon Winter Ball ticket deadline is fast approaching. Tickets are on sale only until 18 October, 2019. This Dress Blues/Black Tie event will be held on Rose Barracks in Vilseck on 13 December 2019.
Lastly, we are closing in on our number for the 2d Cavalry Regiment Memorial. We still need your support to bring this to completion for the Spring 2021 reunion.
Please visit our new website and donate. You can spread your donation across several months as I did, and it’s painless.
To the best of my knowledge, we are the first organization to recognize all who have fallen in the service of our Regiment, in times of conflict and in times of peace.
Always Ready!
